BIOGRAPHY

The Dark Pioneers are dead and gone, so it's probably time to stop treating this website like a shrine to the past. I've moved on, but I'm still happy with the music I made under my own name and with The Dark Pioneers. But...moving on. I'll come up a with a real bio; something to cover all that I've done, all that I'm doing (or hope to do). In the meantime, you've got plenty to listen to. It's dark and cathartic music. I called it Post-Apocalypse Americana and rode that horse for a good long time. (This isn't a press release, so don't expect me to do that "selling you a bridge," song and dance shit.) I only ask you to listen. The Gospel of Rust was sort of the "main course," and a lot of people seemed to enjoy my solo album The Dead Leaves Sing. Consider The Chroma Session EP as a bridge between those two albums and Four Horses/You Gotta Move as an extended coda. It all started out so rootsy and folksy-bluesy, then got more and more ambitious and rocked harder. You don't have to like it (even though I'd love for you to like it), just listen. I was happy with it and I still don't cringe much when I listen back to it--so that's gotta mean something, right? Just listen before I move on. Before we all move on.
