BYE BYE, SAMURAI

It was a worthwhile three year run (2018-2021), but I finally sheathed the katana (is that an expression? it should be). I managed to create a small library of music I’m proud of, but it never felt as satisfying as writing and singing my own songs; it was for the best I get back to doing what I do best. The most positive development was my home recordings, made with minimal resources, improved exponentially—partly because technology had advanced, but also because of repetition and discipline (plus and a shit-load of YouTube instructional videos).

I’m just getting warmed up for my Lost Decade music, and I have a pair of soundtracks for live theater I’ll write about in the days ahead, but it really comes down to the songs I made in fits and bits over the last ten years that are genuine “Nathan Wade” songs. It’s a weird, eclectic bunch, but I hope listening to my multi-genre flexing with Khonsu Samurai helps explain some of that diversity. In the meantime, here is the (almost) complete library of Khonsu Samurai:
